A full risk assessment is completed and the equipment is PAT tested.

if you want the person to tell their own story, we can supply a personalised video gift voucher  for you to give to them on their birthday or look at the This is your Life Story Films to see films we have made about the person celebrating without their knowledge by secretly interviewing their friends and family. A highlight film has then been shown at their party.

Yes, everyone has a story to tell. They can tell it in their own words, or their family and friends can the story from their perspective.

It would depend what we are filming and how easy the people find being filmed. There is additional charges for each person interviewed as this involves additional time editing time.

Can you interview someone with dementia?

I am very aware of the difficulties being interviewed can present - not least from my own father repeatedly taking off his microphone during his interview! I know everyone is different so we could discuss prior to filming if we require extra time, and I would handle any issues with sensitivity and patience.

Is it possible to record Life Story interviews for two people in one day?

It may be possible but please note, some people may find the interview process to be very tiring and require lots of breaks so that would have to be considered before we confirm.

Can you use old home movies, photos and videos?

Yes, they are a key part of many films - although not essential. I prefer you to digitise the old films and tapes at a local Snappy Snaps or Asda so they can't get lost in transit. If the photos are in albums, we maybe able to copy some pre- selected shots while visiting to do the interview, or do them at our base.

Can you make films for other types of celebrations?

I can make films for any occasion or event from weddings, birthdays or anniversaries.  If there is a party or gathering involved, I can cover that, capturing the atmosphere and joy of the event, and use the accompanying interview/s from the Chatter Box to give it another dimension.
